The Diversity Council website is an excellent resource to find great activities that can be used to teach kids about diversity. It also has links to other great sites that teach kids about diversity such as TeachingPeaceNow.org and Tolerance.org. The site not only has lesson plans about teaching cultural diversity, but also about teaching tolerance towards people with disAbilities, immigrants, and women. While I spent most of my time on the section appropriate for elementary students, they also have lesson plans for middle and high school students. I was able to get some excellent ideas just from spending a couple of hours on this website. As a teacher, I know I would be using this site many times.
